Joy

The THREE-HEADED MAN'S conversation about Joy begins with Jazzy's account of the death of his friend -- His friend died of Covid-19. Jazzy continues by telling of his own Covid infection, and the death of his mother from the Covid-19 virus.

Jimmy says, "Joy is in between happy and love -- it's a state." He continues by saying happy is for the self -- Joy is more mature. It is shared.

Joy is a connector -- it spreads a light quality

Phreddie, like Jazzy begins with a disappointment that he summarizes in one word - Brexit. Phreddie continues by telling that he tricks the self -- changing the mood away from disappointment to something closer to Joy.

Jazzy adds his thoughts about music - harmony - joy is combining a couple of elements.

Phreddie explains that internal dialogue blocks the reality, while Jimmy prefers pedestrian tasks. He clings to them for his sanity

The conversation turns toward the stars and the influence of the stars in the sky. Phreddie moves the conversation to a story about car camping with his wife and father-in-law.

Jimmy exclaims, "... can't own it...can't buy okay-dokey." Jimmy prefers low-rent Joys. "Joy stops when the money comes in."

"I like people coming out of the ditch" they are climbing toward the light

Jazzy wraps up the conversation with a math lesson - a lesson in movement.

I like to do. I like to make things. And, I like telling stories. I tell stories to myself and to others.

First, a short biography, which is, of course, is a story. I was born in Cleveland, played sports, and attended university. Later, after a few years in the radio business, I returned to university to study education and literature.

With a teaching certificate in my file folder, I began working in high schools, first as a strike-breaking scab substitute teacher in Cleveland's far suburbs, and then in Chicago, mostly in private high schools.

Cleveland and Chicago. My two main towns, and I escaped them both. Presently, I live in a tiny, isolated, mountain village in Spain. I am reluctant to write the name of the town because I don't like tourists. When the tourists arrive, they look at me as if I am an animal in a zoo.
